Bit.Trip Wiki

TRIUMPH is the third and final level in BIT.TRIP Runner. As with the other two levels, it contains eleven regular and retro stages, one boss level, and two music tracks, those being Triumph and Fortitude.

It is a dull, Earthly metropolis set at sunset and filled with towering skyscrapers, construction equipment and grimy sewers. The music is gentle and somewhat somber, but the action is as heart-pumping as it's ever been. CommanderVideo meets CommandgirlVideo here, and eventually Meat Boy as well.

This level comes after TENACITY and is followed by The Welkin Wonderland in Runner2 and PATIENCE in FATE.

TRIUMPH's recurring feature is an intense amount in paths and possibilities. There is usually more than one way to complete parts of each Stage, each coming with risk/rewards, e.g. choosing to Jump off a ledge, using the Spring at its end or falling. Usually, a pit in a high place has an alternate path below it, like e.g. a sewer. Sometimes another way is equal in difficulty but lacks collectibles or point sources of others, thus not much affecting the difficulty of completing a Stage, but making getting a PERFECT Score all the more strict, resulting in a wrong path equalling a Bonk.
