TRANSITION is the first Level in BIT.TRIP BEAT and the first level in the BIT.TRIP franchise as a whole. The level is a whimsical jaunt through the cosmos and follows the birth of CommanderVideo as his mind progresses from ethereal to corporeal. It consists of eight Stages, the last of which features a boss fight. It features the music track "Transition".
In this stage, MEGA alters the sounds of the Beats from simple chiptunes to lower-pitch beeps and boops with a light echo.
It is followed by DESCENT.

TRANSITION Boss
The BOSS of TRANSITION is a large box composed of 52 Orange and 69 Yellow Beats, for a total of 121 Beats. To defeat the BOSS, the player must bounce as many of those Beats as possible, staying out of NETHER until the BOSS has exhausted all of its ammunition, disappearing in the process.
